Design for a Cathedral

My great wish is to one day build a cathedral in this swampy willow landscape. No cathedral like in the past that freed people from their background and focused on a lofty ideal. No, my cathedral consists of at most two glass panels of five by five meters placed in a row, with a gap of one meter twenty-five between the two parts. The ritual associated with this cathedral would simply consist of passing through the gap between the panes of glass, a small step, during which the person is touched by the refraction of light in the glass. While in ancient cathedrals people were changed by long-term indoctrination, in my cathedral the light falls on people differently for just one second.

Sometimes that reflection is just enough to become aware of yourself and become human again.
